The House of Sandeman Hostel & Suites, the world’s very first Branded Hostel, celebrates one of the greatest Port Wine brands in the world, right on the Douro, in one of Porto’s most iconic buildings, the wine cellars.

The House of Sandeman Hostel & Suites, the world’s very first Branded Hostel celebrates one of the greatest Port Wine brands in the world, right on top of the river Douro, in one of Porto’s most iconic buildings.
Two banks of the same river, two twins separated at birth. On our side, at the Sandeman Terrace, you will be surrounded by the inspiring and entrepreneurial atmosphere of several generations of Port wine producers – with a view to a World Heritage site.
On the terrace you will feel Port wine in movement whether it’s with our groundbreaking cocktails – made with different expressions of this unique wine – or at one of our regular music shows!
